Esquire Consultant Group, Ltd. exists solely to help law firms work smarter - not harder. We were founded in 1995 by an attorney with extensive computer experience. This dual-expertise enables us to not only solve technological issues, but to understand the specific needs of the legal community. We recognize that legal technology, just like the law itself, is constantly evolving. At Esquire, we speak your language, the language of business. We strive to create a lasting relationship built on trust and strengthened by communication. We listen and we understand.

Communication

Communication is the key to any successful relationship. There is a communication breakdown if both sides do not speak the same language. A good legal consultant must know the intricacies of the legal industry and be able to explain technology in understandable terms.

Choice

Choosing the right software is only half of the equation - finding the right consultants is crucial in making sure you get the most out of your investment. Our job is to develop a system to allow the software to meet the individual needs of your firm. Proper planning, detailed implementation, comprehensive training and prompt follow-up support are essential in a successful software project.

William E. Dertinger, Esq.
Chief Executive Officer

The founder of Esquire, Bill is an attorney with over twenty years of experience as a specialist in computer and Internet technology with a focus on project management, database design and computer network systems architecture. The 2006 Technolawyer Legal Technology Consultant of the Year, he is certified in many legal software solutions. Aside from practicing law, he is a former a adjunct professor at the New York City College of Technology (CUNY). He has presented on legal technology for the New York County Lawyers Association; ABA Techshow; and the Atlanta Bar Association He has written many technology articles for the Richmond County Bar Association Newsletter. Bill is a retired member of the State Bar of New York, the Richmond County Bar Association and MENSA. He has a JD from Brooklyn Law School; a BA from The Catholic University of America and attended Regis and Xavier High School. He played Rugby at Catholic and for the New York Athletic Club and continues to play basketball in various leagues.

CLE Courses

Since 2001, Esquire has been a New York State Bar Association approved CLE Provider. Our course, An Introduction to Time Matters, is worth 7.0 NY CLE credits and is typically included in all our Time Matters projects for those firms implementing the program for the first time in their practice.
